Spinach, Feta and Nutmeg Quiche

This Spinach, Feta and Nutmeg Quiche is a delicious and easy to make brunch recipe. A flaky and buttery crust is filled with a creamy and savory egg custard, spinach, feta, and nutmeg. It is the perfect meal for a special occasion or a relaxed weekend morning.

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 3 cups of fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/3 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of light cream or half-and-half
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and press it into the prepared pie dish. Trim off any excess and crimp the edges. Prick the bottom with a fork a few times and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the chopped spinach, feta cheese, and nutmeg. Stir until they are well mixed.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and cream. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spread the spinach mixture evenly into the bottom of the pastry-lined pie dish. Pour the egg-cream mixture over the spinach.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature.
