Crispy Duck with Pancakes Recipe
This easy and delicious recipe brings together the classic Chinese dish of crispy duck with the traditional pancakes. Ingredients:
- 1 Whole Duck
- 2 tablespoons Salt
- 2 tablespoons White Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Five Spice Powder
- 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil
- 2 tablespoons Cooking Oil
- 1 pack Pancake Batter
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Mix the salt, pepper, five spice powder, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil together in a small bowl. Rub the mixture all over the duck and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium heat. Place the duck in the skillet and cook for 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the skin is a golden brown.
- Place the skillet in the preheated oven and cook for 30 minutes, or until the duck is cooked through and the skin is crisp.
- Meanwhile, prepare the pancake batter according to the package instructions.
- Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Grease the skillet lightly with cooking oil or butter. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the skillet and swirl it around to make a thin pancake. Cook until the bottom is lightly browned and then flip and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes.
