Crispy Fried Fish Burger with Homemade Tartar Sauce

This delicious Crispy Fried Fish Burger with Homemade Tartar Sauce is the perfect meal for a summer day. Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds white fish fillet, cut into 8 equal pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheese
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard

Directions:

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. In another shallow bowl, place the panko bread crumbs.
  3. In a third shallow bowl, place the beaten eggs.
  4. Dip each piece of fish into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally, into the panko bread crumbs. Place the breaded pieces on a plate.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, cook the fish pieces for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer the fish to a plate lined with paper towels.
  6. To make the tartar sauce, combine the mayonnaise, pickle relish, Worcestershire sauce, and yellow mustard in a small bowl. Stir until combined.
  7. To assemble the burgers, place a piece of fish on the bottom of each hamburger bun. Top with a slice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a dollop of the tartar sauce. Place the top of the hamburger bun on top and serve.
