Mushroom and Swiss-Stuffed Burgers

These Mushroom and Swiss-Stuffed Burgers are a delicious and easy way to enjoy a classic burger with an extra cheesy twist. The mushrooms and Swiss cheese make for a tasty and filling burger that’s sure to please. Make it at home on the grill or for your next BBQ and everyone will love it!

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms, chopped
  • 2 cups Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 8 hamburger buns

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Mix together until combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 8 equal parts, and shape each one into a patty about 1/2-inch thick.
  3. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the mushrooms, and cook until they are softened and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Divide the mushroom mixture between 4 of the patties, and top each one with 1/4 cup of shredded Swiss cheese. Top with the remaining patties to form a stuffed burger.
  5. Heat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet or on the grill.
  7. Serve each burger on a toasted bun with your favorite condiments.
