This Orange Sesame Chicken is an easy and delicious weeknight dinner for the whole family! Featuring Asian-style flavors with a hint of orange, this dish is sure to become a favorite.

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts, cubed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup orange zest
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, orange juice, sesame oil, garlic powder, ginger, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and honey. Whisk until combined.
  2. Place the cubed chicken in the bowl and stir until coated. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown, about 8 minutes.
  4. Add the orange zest, sesame seeds, and marinade to the skillet. Reduce to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Increase the heat to medium-high and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the sauce is thick and fragrant.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped scallions.
  7. Serve the Orange Sesame Chicken over cooked rice or noodles and enjoy!
