Fettuccine with Bolognese Sauce
This delicious Italian dish is a classic favorite – fettuccine with Bolognese sauce. It’s simple to make and packed with flavor. Ingredients:
- 1 pound fettuccine
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can of diced tomatoes
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish
Directions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, sugar, and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Drain the fettuccine and add to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to combine.
- Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
