Mushroom-Topped Meatloaf with Gravy

This Mushroom-Topped Meatloaf with Gravy is the perfect comforting dinner! It’s easy to make, and will be sure to become a favorite dish of your family!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup of bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1/2 cup of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup of sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of beef broth
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, onion, bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and ketchup until combined.
  3. Form the meat mixture into a loaf shape on a greased baking sheet.
  4. Arrange the mushrooms over the top of the meatloaf and sprinkle with the shredded cheese.
  5. Bake the meatloaf for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  6. In a medium saucepan, bring the beef broth to a boil. Whisk in the Worcestershire sauce and flour, stirring until thickened.
  7. Pour the gravy over the meatloaf and serve.
