This Mushroom-Topped Meatloaf with Gravy is the perfect comforting dinner! It’s easy to make, and will be sure to become a favorite dish of your family!
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. lean ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup of bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of pepper
- 1/2 cup of ketchup
- 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup of sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup of beef broth
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, onion, bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and ketchup until combined.
- Form the meat mixture into a loaf shape on a greased baking sheet.
- Arrange the mushrooms over the top of the meatloaf and sprinkle with the shredded cheese.
- Bake the meatloaf for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- In a medium saucepan, bring the beef broth to a boil. Whisk in the Worcestershire sauce and flour, stirring until thickened.
- Pour the gravy over the meatloaf and serve.
