Ingredients:

  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 celery stalk, diced
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup freshly chopped parsley
  • 1 pound spaghetti

Directions:

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until it is no longer pink. Drain the fat and discard.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes.
  4. Add the cream and stir to combine. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  6. Drain the spaghetti and return it to the pot. Add the Bolognese sauce and stir to combine. Divide the spaghetti among serving dishes.
  7. Top each serving with a dollop of ricotta cheese, a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, and a sprinkle of parsley. Serve immediately.
