Seafood Bolognese Spaghetti with Shrimp and Scallops
This flavorful seafood Bolognese spaghetti is a delicious Italian dinner that is sure to impress. The combination of sautéed shrimp and scallops with the classic Bolognese sauce gives this dish a unique and delicious flavor.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 pound scallops
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions, celery, and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the shrimp and scallops and cook until just barely cooked through, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in the red pepper flakes, wine, tomatoes, parsley, oregano, thyme, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions.
- Drain the spaghetti and return to the pot. Add the Bolognese sauce and toss to combine.
- Divide the spaghetti among 4 plates. Top with Parmesan cheese and serve.
