Ingredients:
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked egg noodles, for serving
Directions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until it is cooked through and browned. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
- Add the onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and five-spice powder to the pan and stir to combine. Pour in the white wine and stir to deglaze the pan.
- Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Pour in the beef broth and stir to combine.
- Add the cooked beef back into the skillet and stir to combine. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the sour cream and green onions. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve over cooked egg noodles.
