Baked Chicken Cordon Bleu

This tasty and easy-to-make Baked Chicken Cordon Bleu is sure to be a hit with your whole family! It’s loaded with flavor and the perfect comfort food for any night of the week.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of deli ham
  • 4 slices of swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 1 cup of dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Place each chicken breast between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound lightly with a rolling pin or meat mallet until flattened to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  3. Place one slice of ham and one slice of cheese on each flattened chicken breast.
  4. In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, eggs and milk. In another shallow bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, butter and garlic powder.
  5. Dip each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then in the bread crumb mixture, coating both sides.
  6. Place the chicken on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted.
