Baked Chicken Cordon Bleu
This tasty and easy-to-make Baked Chicken Cordon Bleu is sure to be a hit with your whole family! It’s loaded with flavor and the perfect comfort food for any night of the week.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices of deli ham
- 4 slices of swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 1 cup of dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons of butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Place each chicken breast between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound lightly with a rolling pin or meat mallet until flattened to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Place one slice of ham and one slice of cheese on each flattened chicken breast.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, eggs and milk. In another shallow bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, butter and garlic powder.
- Dip each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then in the bread crumb mixture, coating both sides.
- Place the chicken on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted.
