Brandy-Creamed Beef Stroganoff

This delicious and hearty Brandy-Creamed Beef Stroganoff is a classic comfort food that’s perfect for a busy weeknight dinner. Rich and creamy, this dish is sure to be a hit with the whole family.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 pounds of lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of brandy
  • 2 cups of beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cups of cooked egg noodles

Directions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in the garlic powder, thyme, and cayenne pepper and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir until combined. Cook for 1 minute.
  6. Stir in the brandy and cook until almost evaporated, about 1 minute.
  7. Add the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  8. Stir in the Dijon mustard, heavy cream, and black pepper and simmer until the sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes.
  9. Stir in the parsley and cooked egg noodles and simmer for 1 minute.
