Brandy-Creamed Beef Stroganoff
This delicious and hearty Brandy-Creamed Beef Stroganoff is a classic comfort food that’s perfect for a busy weeknight dinner. Rich and creamy, this dish is sure to be a hit with the whole family.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 pounds of lean ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of brandy
- 2 cups of beef broth
- 3 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cups of cooked egg noodles
Directions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Drain off any excess fat.
- Add the onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic powder, thyme, and cayenne pepper and cook for 1 minute.
- Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir until combined. Cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in the brandy and cook until almost evaporated, about 1 minute.
- Add the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the Dijon mustard, heavy cream, and black pepper and simmer until the sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the parsley and cooked egg noodles and simmer for 1 minute.
