Caramelized Onion and Bacon Pasta

This comforting dish is a great way to enjoy the flavors of caramelized onions and bacon. The pasta is cooked al dente, and topped with the savory ingredients for an easy and delicious dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of pasta of your choice
  • 4 slices of bacon, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced bacon and cook until crisp, about 8 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened and golden, about 8 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for one minute.
  4. Add the bacon back to the skillet and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Drain the cooked pasta and add to the skillet. Toss to combine with the bacon and onion mixture.
