Caramelized Onion and Bacon Pasta
This comforting dish is a great way to enjoy the flavors of caramelized onions and bacon. The pasta is cooked al dente, and topped with the savory ingredients for an easy and delicious dinner.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of pasta of your choice
- 4 slices of bacon, diced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, grated
Directions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced bacon and cook until crisp, about 8 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened and golden, about 8 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for one minute.
- Add the bacon back to the skillet and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
- Drain the cooked pasta and add to the skillet. Toss to combine with the bacon and onion mixture.
