These delicious macarons combine the nutty sweetness of chestnuts with the smooth richness of chocolate. The creamy filling gives an extra layer of decadence to the classic French pastry.

Ingredients:
• 200g ground chestnuts
• 150g powdered sugar
• 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
• 2 large egg whites
• 50g caster sugar
• 2 tablespoons melted butter
• 2 tablespoons double cream
• 2 tablespoons milk
• 150g dark chocolate

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 160°C.
2. In a bowl, mix the ground chestnuts, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder until well combined.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until foamy. Gradually add in the caster sugar and whisk until stiff peaks form.
4. With a spatula, fold the chestnut mixture into the egg whites until combined.
5. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and pipe the mixture onto the sheet.
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the macarons are golden.
7. In a small saucepan, melt the butter, cream, and milk together. Once melted, add the dark chocolate and stir until combined.
8. Spread the chocolate mixture onto one side of the macarons and sandwich with the other halves.
