A simple recipe that never gets old, using ripe bananas, flour, sugar, eggs, and butter.
Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter.
- Add the baking soda and salt and mix well.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Add the flour and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing it and placing it on a wire rack to cool completely.
