Crispy Bacon Jalapeño Mac and Cheese

Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 cup diced jalapeño peppers
- 2 cups cooked macaroni
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add in flour and whisk until combined. Gradually add in milk, whisking constantly until thickened.
- Add in cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cumin, pepper, and salt. Whisk until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
- Stir in bacon, jalapeño peppers, and cooked macaroni and mix until combined.
- Pour mac and cheese into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle with panko bread crumbs.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
