Ingredients:
- 2 pounds white fish fillet, cut into 8 equal pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices cheese
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 slices tomato
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
Directions:
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- In another shallow bowl, place the panko bread crumbs.
- In a third shallow bowl, place the beaten eggs.
- Dip each piece of fish into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally, into the panko bread crumbs. Place the breaded pieces on a plate.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, cook the fish pieces for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer the fish to a plate lined with paper towels.
- To make the tartar sauce, combine the mayonnaise, pickle relish, Worcestershire sauce, and yellow mustard in a small bowl. Stir until combined.
- To assemble the burgers, place a piece of fish on the bottom of each hamburger bun. Top with a slice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a dollop of the tartar sauce. Place the top of the hamburger bun on top and serve.
