#Decadent Chocolate Macarons with Rich Chestnut Filling
These delicious chocolate macarons are made with a rich chestnut filling for a perfect mix of sweetness and nutty goodness. They’re sure to impress your guests and have them coming back for more!
Ingredients:
• 2/3 cup almond flour
• 1/2 cup powdered sugar
• 1/4 cup cocoa powder
• 2 egg whites
• 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 3/4 cup chestnut puree
• 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
• 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, mix together the almond flour, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder.
3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy. Add the granulated sugar and cream of tartar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
4. Fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites until combined.
5. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe 1-inch circles onto the prepared baking sheets.
6. Bake for 14 to 16 minutes, or until the macarons are lightly browned. Allow to cool for 15 minutes.
7. In a bowl, mix together the chestnut puree, almond extract, and melted butter.
8. Pipe the chestnut filling onto half of the macarons and top with the remaining macarons.
