Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 pound ground venison
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (14-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14-ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the ground venison and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the oregano, chili powder, paprika, and cumin and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the diced tomatoes and tomato sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
