Fettuccine with Bolognese Sauce

This delicious Italian dish is a classic favorite – fettuccine with Bolognese sauce. It’s simple to make and packed with flavor. Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fettuccine
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

Directions:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, sugar, and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Drain the fettuccine and add to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to combine.
  6. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
