Gluten-Free Lobster Mac and Cheese
This decadent and comforting gluten-free dish is perfect for special occasions or for a cozy weeknight dinner. The combination of creamy lobster macaroni and cheese with a crunchy bread crumb topping is sure to be a hit!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb gluten-free elbow macaroni
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons gluten-free flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried mustard powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish with butter and set aside.
- Cook the macaroni according to package directions and drain.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in the milk until it is all incorporated and the mixture is thick and bubbly.
- Turn off the heat and stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, smoked paprika, and pepper. Add the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
- Add the cooked macaroni and lobster meat and stir until combined.
- Pour the mac and cheese into the prepared baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together the panko breadcrumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle over the top of the mac and cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the mac and cheese is bubbly. Serve warm.
