Grilled Boerewors Burger Recipe

This Grilled Boerewors Burger is the perfect summer BBQ meal. It is made with traditional South African Boerewors sausage, grilled and served on a homemade burger bun with fresh salad and sauces. It is absolutely delicious and sure to be a hit with your family and friends.

Ingredients:

  • 400 g Boerewors sausage
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoons of barbecue sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat the grill to high heat.
  2. Form the Boerewors sausage into four patties and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the patties on the preheated grill and cook for 5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  4. Toast the buns on the grill for a few minutes until golden brown.
  5. Top the toasted buns with lettuce, tomato slices, and a cooked patty.
  6. Top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
