Grilled Boerewors Burger Recipe
This Grilled Boerewors Burger is the perfect summer BBQ meal. It is made with traditional South African Boerewors sausage, grilled and served on a homemade burger bun with fresh salad and sauces. It is absolutely delicious and sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
Ingredients:
- 400 g Boerewors sausage
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons of barbecue sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Preheat the grill to high heat.
- Form the Boerewors sausage into four patties and season with salt and pepper.
- Place the patties on the preheated grill and cook for 5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
- Toast the buns on the grill for a few minutes until golden brown.
- Top the toasted buns with lettuce, tomato slices, and a cooked patty.
