Grilled Sosatie Burger Recipe
This Grilled Sosatie Burger is a delicious and vegan-friendly burger that is easy to make and sure to impress. Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound seitan, chopped
- 1/4 cup tamari
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/2 cup vegan mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup vegan ketchup
- 1/2 cup vegan cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1/2 cup tomato, sliced
- 1/2 cup red onion, sliced
Directions:
- In a medium bowl, combine the seitan, tamari, oil, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, and oregano. Mix until well combined.
- Heat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Form the seitan mixture into 4 patties and place on the hot grill.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until lightly charred and heated through.
- Meanwhile, toast the buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes per side.
- Spread the vegan mayonnaise and ketchup on the buns.
- Top each with a patty, vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion.
- Serve immediately.
