Grilled Sosatie Burger Recipe

This Grilled Sosatie Burger is a delicious and vegan-friendly burger that is easy to make and sure to impress. Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound seitan, chopped
  • 1/4 cup tamari
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1/2 cup vegan mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup vegan ketchup
  • 1/2 cup vegan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1/2 cup tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, sliced

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the seitan, tamari, oil, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, and oregano. Mix until well combined.
  2. Heat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  3. Form the seitan mixture into 4 patties and place on the hot grill.
  4. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until lightly charred and heated through.
  5. Meanwhile, toast the buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes per side.
  6. Spread the vegan mayonnaise and ketchup on the buns.
  7. Top each with a patty, vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion.
  8. Serve immediately.
