Herb Yorkshire Pudding

Add chopped fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme, and sage to the batter for a fragrant and flavorful twist on the classic. Serve as a side dish with roast chicken or turkey.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, sage)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and chopped fresh herbs.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.
  4. Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and whisk until smooth.
  5. Let the batter rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Add the vegetable oil to a 9-inch (23 cm) baking dish and place it in the oven to heat for 5 minutes.
  7. Remove the dish from the oven and pour the batter into the dish.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pudding is golden brown and puffed up.
  9. Serve as a side dish with roast chicken or turkey.
