Recipe: Honey-Glazed Roast Duck
This delicious Honey-Glazed Roast Duck is the perfect dinner for a special occasion. The sweet glaze and crispy skin will make this dish a hit! This easy-to-make recipe will have your guests asking for seconds.
Ingredients:
- 1 whole duck, about 4-5 pounds
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Rinse the duck inside and out, and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine the honey, ginger, garlic powder, pepper, soy sauce, olive oil, and wine. Mix until combined.
- Rub the duck with the honey-glaze mixture, inside and out. Make sure to coat the entire bird.
- Place the duck in a roasting pan, breast-side up. Roast for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Remove the duck from the oven. Carefully drain off the fat from the roasting pan. Turn the duck over, so the breast-side is down. Roast for an additional 30 minutes.
- Remove the duck from the oven and sprinkle with the chopped rosemary. Let the duck rest for 10-15 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
