Mushroom and Swiss-Stuffed Burgers
These Mushroom and Swiss-Stuffed Burgers are a delicious and easy way to enjoy a classic burger with an extra cheesy twist. The mushrooms and Swiss cheese make for a tasty and filling burger that’s sure to please. Make it at home on the grill or for your next BBQ and everyone will love it!
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 pound mushrooms, chopped
- 2 cups Swiss cheese, shredded
- 8 hamburger buns
Directions:
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Mix together until combined.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal parts, and shape each one into a patty about 1/2-inch thick.
- In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the mushrooms, and cook until they are softened and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
- Divide the mushroom mixture between 4 of the patties, and top each one with 1/4 cup of shredded Swiss cheese. Top with the remaining patties to form a stuffed burger.
- Heat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet or on the grill.
- Serve each burger on a toasted bun with your favorite condiments.
