This Orange Sesame Chicken is an easy and delicious weeknight dinner for the whole family! Featuring Asian-style flavors with a hint of orange, this dish is sure to become a favorite.
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken breasts, cubed
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup orange zest
- 1/4 cup chopped scallions
Directions:
- In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, orange juice, sesame oil, garlic powder, ginger, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and honey. Whisk until combined.
- Place the cubed chicken in the bowl and stir until coated. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown, about 8 minutes.
- Add the orange zest, sesame seeds, and marinade to the skillet. Reduce to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the sauce is thick and fragrant.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped scallions.
- Serve the Orange Sesame Chicken over cooked rice or noodles and enjoy!
