Oven-Roasted Stuffed Shells

Ingredients:
- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 1/2 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 (15 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta shells and cook for 8 to 10 minutes; drain.
- In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey, onion and garlic until the meat is brown. Drain the fat.
- Stir in the bread crumbs, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
- In the prepared baking dish, spread the crushed tomatoes over the bottom. Stuff each shell with the meat mixture and place in the dish. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the shells.
- Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
- Serve hot.
