Pancetta and Egg Carbonara Mac and Cheese Recipe
This delicious and easy Pancetta and Egg Carbonara Mac and Cheese is a perfect weeknight meal. It’s cheesy, creamy, and packed with flavor. The combination of Pancetta, egg, and Carbonara sauce make this dish irresistible.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 1/2 pound Pancetta, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook Pancetta until lightly browned. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually mix in chicken stock, cream, Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, and pepper. Simmer until thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in cooked macaroni and eggs. Spoon mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
