Penne all’Arrabbiata – Deliciously Spicy

Penne all’Arrabbiata is a classic Italian pasta dish that is both delicious and incredibly simple to make. It features penne pasta in a tomato sauce spiced with garlic, red pepper flakes, and parsley. For a truly authentic Italian experience, this dish is perfect for a quick dinner or lunch.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 28-ounce can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 pound penne pasta
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add the oregano, crushed tomatoes, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the parsley and stir to combine. Remove from the heat.
