Rich Double Chocolate Cookies
This recipe is sure to be a hit with all the chocolate lovers out there! Rich Double Chocolate Cookies are a soft and chewy treat, packed with two kinds of chocolate chips and cocoa powder for an intense chocolate flavor. They’re the perfect sweet snack to have on hand for when the chocolate cravings hit.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract and whisk until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the semi-sweet and dark chocolate chips, as well as the chopped nuts, if using.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cookies are slightly browned around the edges.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
