Sage-Infused Apple Meatloaf

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup apple, peeled and grated
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons sage, fresh or dried
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, apple, onion, breadcrumbs, egg, sage, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan and shape into a loaf. Spread the ketchup over the top of the meatloaf and drizzle with Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
