Sausage-Stuffed Yorkshire Pudding

Brown sausages in a pan, then pour the batter around them and bake. This makes for a delicious and filling meal that’s perfect for cold winter nights.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 6 sausages
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.
  4. Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and whisk until smooth.
  5. Let the batter rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Brown the sausages in a pan.
  7. Add the vegetable oil to a 9-inch (23 cm) baking dish and place it in the oven to heat for 5 minutes.
  8. Remove the dish from the oven and place the sausages in the dish.
  9. Pour the batter around the sausages and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pudding is golden brown and puffed up.
  10. Serve with gravy.
