Ingredients:

  • 9 lasagne sheets
  • 300g frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 250g ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 500ml marinara sauce
  • 200g grated mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cook the lasagne sheets according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the thawed spinach, ricotta cheese, beaten egg, minced garlic, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
  4. Lay out the cooked lasagne sheets and spread a generous amount of the spinach and ricotta mixture evenly over each sheet.
  5. Roll up the lasagne sheets tightly and place them seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
  6. Pour the marinara sauce over the lasagne rolls, ensuring they are fully covered. Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese over the top.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
