Tomato Basil Caprese Macaroni and Cheese
This delicious macaroni and cheese recipe combines the classic flavors of tomato and basil with creamy mozzarella cheese for a unique and flavorful meal. The combination of the tomato, basil, and mozzarella cheese will make this a hit with the whole family!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add tomatoes, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper, and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until tomatoes are softened.
