Venison with Red Wine Reduction Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of venison steak
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 red onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of dry red wine
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of beef broth
Directions:
- In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the venison steaks and cook until browned, about 4 minutes per side. Remove the venison from the pan and set aside.
- Add the red onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Pour in the red wine and let it reduce for about 4 minutes.
- Add the Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
